Frances Veronica Fisher, 69, of Mt. Pleasant, MI passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Woodland Hospice. Frances was born on September 22, 1947 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Ora and Sarah (Jackson) Jones. On March 9, 1966 in Clare, she married Raymond Fisher. They celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this year.
Frances was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. She attended both the Faith Church of the Nazarene and the Chippewa Indian United Methodist Church. She worked at the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center as a housekeeper for thirteen years. Frances enjoyed crocheting, visiting with friends, traveling and Tigers baseball. She also enjoyed bingo, the casino and eating out. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond, three children: Marci S. (Paul) Magnell, Raymond (Allison) Fisher II, and Joseph (Amee) Fisher, all of Mt. Pleasant; fourteen grandchildren Nicholas Magnell, Ethan Magnell, Madison Magnell, Seth Magnell, Bella Magnell, Meredith Magnell, Ashley Fisher, Paige Sembach, Kylie Fisher, Raymond Fisher, III, Joseph Fisher, II, Brittany Fisher, Megan Fisher and Joshua Fisher and two great grandchildren: Evan Sembach and Ronin Peters. Also surviving is a sister Georgia (Robert) Shirey of Yucca Valley, CA. Frances was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters and three brothers.
A service celebrating Frances life will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Rowley Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Perry of Faith Nazarene Church officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Denver Township Cemetery. Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, October 5th from 6-8 pm, on Thursday, October 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Donations in Frances’s memory have been suggested to the Faith Church of the Nazarene.
